good weather!

いい天気だ！

今日は久しぶりにアンドリューさんに会いました。弥彦村で集合して、おいしい饅頭を食べました。弥彦山はまだ雪で登れないですよ！
オンシーズンは毎週土曜日の朝9時半に寺泊のSAVE ONに集合します。

ヒルクライムの練習の場合は弥彦山を登ります。スカイラインは “とても急”と“ちょっと急” の二つのコースがあります。僕はたいてい両方登ります。去年アンドリューさんは一日に5回も登ったことがありました！！！UNBELIEVABLE!!!

ロードレースの練習の場合はサーキットコースを作って練習しています。二人一緒にスタートしタイムトライルをします。前後交代しながら、一生懸命走ります。結構アップダウンのあるコースです。最後の1キロはレースモードで勝負します!すごくいいトレーニングです！

でも練習してばかりではなくて、走りながら会話を楽しんでいます。

アンドリューさんは今赤ちゃんが生まれたばかりで忙しいようだけど、他のじょんのびTIMEのメンバーとも一緒に走りたいんじゃないかと思います。皆さんCOME ON, COME ON!

Today was great weather!

I met Andrew for the first time in a while at Yahiko, where we enjoyed eating some delicious manju. We didn’t ride up the mountain because it’s still covered in snow. During the racing season, we meet up most weeks on Saturday morning, outside the “Save On” in Terodamari.

When we’re training for hill climb races we usually practice on Mount Yahiko. There are 2 roads to the top, one “very steep” and one “pretty steep”. We usually climb both, but one time last year Andrew climbed the mountain 5 times! Unbelievable!

When we are training for road races, we have a circuit that we use. We set off from the start as a “two-up time trial”, taking turns to pull at the front. It’s quite a rolling course. When we get to the final 1k, we enter race mode and go all out for the win! It’s great training!

However, it’s not all hard training as we spend most of the time riding along and enjoying chatting.

Andrew will be busy this year with his new baby, but I’m sure he’d love to ride with some other じょんのびＴＩＭＥ　guys. Come on everyone!
