Isonobe – 2008 first attack!
天気がどんどん良くなってきましたね。じょんのびTIMEの皆さんもこれからはトレーナーじゃなくて、外で走ることができますね！
今日僕は今年になって初めて磯之辺を登りました。冬でも上の磯之辺村の人たちのために除雪されているので道は通れます。今年に入ってからはあまり登り練習をしていなかったので景色を見ながらゆっくり登りました。もうちょっと練習したら頑張って登りたいと思います。じょんのびTIMEの皆さん一緒に登りましょう！！！

Today I rode the climb up to Isonobe for the first time this year. Even in winter, the road is kept clear to provide access for the people living in Isonobe village at the top. So far this year, I haven’t had much chance to do much climbing on the bike, so I took it easy and enjoyed the views on the way up. After a bit more hill climb practice, I’m looking forward to going hard on the climb. じょんのびTIME guys, let’s climb it together!!!

I have had many of those "is it open yet feelings", only to have to turn around, somewhat saddened that I couldn't finish the climb.
Soon, very soon all of the climbs will again feel the pounding of pedals on their backs.

Adam - I haven't gone over so many walls of snow this year, I must be getting soft! I'm finding the climbs hard though, so I need to get some practice in. Do you recognize the photo? You asked me "How far to the road's end?". I said "About 500m". So you went for it, out of the saddle, big chain ring. But my maths was never that good and it must have been a good 2km from there. You didn't seem to mind though!
