ogami dake first attack

今日は2009年の尾神岳ファーストクライムをしました。

コースは:

柏崎～野田～小村峠～尾神岳～桜坂峠～鵜川～野田～柏崎 (55キロ、1100m登り)

小村峠も桜坂峠もまだ車は通っていませんが小村峠はもう自転車で登っても大丈夫です。桜坂峠の道はまだまだ汚いのでおすすめできないなー。時間があればあさひの里～石黒～鵜川の道を使ったほうがほうがいいですね。

でも今日のメイン“尾神岳”の道は大丈夫でした。

と言っても“大丈夫”だったのは道のコンディションのことで、登りは“大丈夫”じゃなかったです！登りはきついですね。磯野辺よりきついと思います。とても急な道ですからゆっくり登ることができません。ベリーハードでした！

尾神岳の上から桜坂峠の上まではとてもいい道です。今日は雪の壁があったので下りは寒かったです。夏は最高ですね。でも時々カモシカが飛び出すので、皆さんちょっと注意してじょんのび！

今日は小村峠にも尾神岳にも登れてよかったです。今年はたくさん登りたいと思います。がんばるじょんのび！

Today I did my first climb of Ogami Dake for 2009.

Course:

Kashiwazaki～Nota～Komura Pass～Ogami Dake～Sakurazaka Pass～Ugawa～Nota～Kashiwazaki (55km、1100m of climbing)

Komura Pass and Sakurazaka Pass are still closed to cars. However, you can get through both on your bike. Komura Pass is fine. However, Sakurazaka Pass is still dodgy as the road is covered in mud, stones etc. so I don’t recommend it. If you have time, it’s best to ride via Asahi no Sato and Ishiguro.

Anyway, the roads on today’s main course “Ogami Dake”, were fine.

“Fine” refers to the road condition and not the climb which is anything but fine! It’s an even tougher climb than Isonobe. It’s really steep so it’s impossible to take it easy going up. It’s a real killer!

The road running between the top of Ogami Dake and Sakurazaka Pass is a beautiful road. Today there was snow walls on each side of the road, so it was cold going down. But in the summer it’s just fantastic. You just have to be careful of deer which jump out into the road – watch out じょんのび！

Today I was really happy to climb Komura Pass and Ogami Dake. I hope to get many climbs in this year. I’ll do my best じょんのび！
